On-Campus Daily Visits 

Daily visits are best suited for students in high-school grades 9-12, OR high school or GED graduates seeking to transfer or begin a first-time bachelor's degree. 

Campus Daily Visits typically include a 30-minute information & financial aid session with a representative from Admissions and a 60-90 minute walking tour of campus with a current student. During the Fall Semester, we host visits on the following schedule:

Please allow at least 2 to 2.5 hours for your full campus visit.

Long tours include an indoor tour of our Margaret A. Cargill Health and Natural Sciences building which houses the Academic Departments of Biology, Chemistry, (including Pre-Med, Pre-Vet, Pre-Dental), Nursing, Mathematics, Geology, and Physics. Choose a long tour if you are interested in one of these areas.

Short tours include an indoor tour of our Communication, Media, and Information Technologies building which houses the Academic Departments of Computer Science, Communications, Media (Broadcasting Studio for radio and tv), our IT department, a Maker Studio, and more. Choose a short tour if you are interested in one of these areas.

Be Weather Aware

In the case of inclement weather, such as thunderstorms or a dangerous heat index or wind chill, we must cancel the walking tour. However, we have alternatives already in place to provide the best possible and safe experience for you while you are on campus. You will be informed the no later than the morning of your visit if the weather looks like it could impact your walking tour. 

Residence Hall Tours

Golf Cart Tours

Please let us know in the form below if you have mobility restrictions and need a golf cart tour rather than a walking tour. These are subject to driver availability.

Spanish Tours

Tours in Spanish are currently unavailable.

Overnight Lodging

Our Guest Houses for overnight stays are first come, first served. To reserve, first register for a campus visit. After receiving your confirmation email, reply to check availability. If a Guest House is available, we'll reserve your stay. If not, we'll share a list of discounted local hotels. You can also call the office at 1-800-326-5948 to check availability and talk with one of our students for booking assistance.

We ask all visitors to review our Financial Eligibility Website before visiting campus so they can better understand Berea College’s unique financial eligibility requirements. If you have not yet done so, please take a few moments to do so. Group Visitors

If you are seeking to schedule a small group visit for 5-12 people, please call us at 1-800-326-5948. If you are seeking to schedule a group of MORE than 12 people, please navigate to our Large Group Visit page. 

Professional Staff Visits

Adults who work with students are welcome to visit on their own. This type of visit is helpful for later conversations with prospective students. These visits typically serve College Coaches and High School Counselors. Please note that prospective students do not attend this type of visit. To be eligible for this visit type, you MUST already be in the US and serve more than 40 students. Click here to complete a request.
