Berea Scholars Nomination Form

The Berea Scholars Award recognizes juniors whose academic achievement, leadership, service, and character reflect the very best of Berea College’s mission. Berea Scholars temporarily brings together the proud traditions of the Woodson and Hurst awards into one unified recognition, honoring students who show exceptional promise and a deep commitment to learning, community, and purpose.

Nominators are allowed and encouraged to nominate multiple deserving students who are a fitting match. Nomination Deadline: 11:59 PM EST Sunday, November 1, 2026.

To determine if your student is eligible for consideration, check ALL of the boxes below that describe your student. Your student is only eligible to be considered for the Berea Scholar Award if all categories are confirmed.*
