    Large Group Visits

The Berea College Office of Admissions is happy to offer on-campus tours for your high school aged group!  Large Group visits (for 16 - 40 students and at least 1 chaperone per every 10 students**) are a great way to help introduce your students to Berea College.

Group visit dates are limited, and reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our tours are best suited for high school students. We are unable to accommodate middle or elementary age students at this time.

**If your group is 5-13 people, please visit our Small Group Portal to schedule that visit.

    What You Can Expect

The Berea College Office of Admissions offers on-campus group visits which include a 20-minute Information Session hosted by Admissions Staff and a 60 minute walking tour of campus hosted by a Student Ambassador.

Requests must be made 2 weeks in advance.

After your request is submitted, you will receive an email with a link to a Guideline and Expectations Agreement form. Once the form has been returned, we will provide you with a link that your students will use to register themselves. All students must register prior to the visit.

    Be Weather Aware

Please note, in the case of inclement weather, such as thunderstorms or a dangerous heat index or wind chill, we must cancel the walking tour. However, we have alternatives already in place to provide the best possible and safe experience for you while you are on campus. You will be informed the morning of your visit if the weather looks like it could impact your walking tour.

    Meals on Campus

If you are interested in eating lunch on campus, please contact Connie Middleton at the Mountaineer Dining Hall at middletonc@berea.edu. She can help you with payment arrangements. Please note that our dining staff is unable to process individual payments for each student; be prepared to make one transaction that will cover the total for the entire group.

Outside food (boxed lunches, etc) is not allowed in the dining hall. If you prefer to bring boxed lunches, the Office of Admissions can direct you to available places indoors or outside where you can eat together. Optional blankets are welcome!

Since our dining hall primarily serves current students, we cannot ensure that your group will be able to sit together.

    Residence Hall Tours

Large Group Visits do not enter Residence Halls. To view Residence Halls, visit our Virtual Tour.
